He got down on one knee and now after saying “yes”, you are wondering if you need engagement photos. Everything seems to be exploding on your to-do list and you may feel like an engagement session may just lead to more things to get done. The most important advice that I can give you is your engagement session is a time to genuinely enjoy the beauty and happiness of this season, to slow down and savor engagement photos in Savannah or a destination of your choosing. 

Capture This Season

An engagement session memorializes the start of your happily ever after. By having these pictures hanging in your home you can reflect on the true happiness and love you have for each other, not just the craziness of the wedding. Put that wedding to-do list to the side for a day to really bask in each other’s love and capture the importance of the union the two of you are about to enter. Not sure how to pick a location, we are happy to help you with that but here are a few ways that we go through the process of deciding on locations.

Build Rapport at Engagement Session

Another reason, besides celebrating the season you are in, is you will get to become familiar with your photographer. An e-session is an excellent chance for you to build a rapport with your Photographer. It will also give your photographer a chance to interact with you as a couple before your wedding day so they can capture unique memories that fit your personality and style. This will give you a better idea of what to expect from your Photographer on the day of the wedding.

Date After Engagement Photos

An added bonus to having engagement photos done is that you are already dressed up and this makes for the perfect time to plan a date night. Ladies, we suggest making a full day of it if you are able to. Start with having your nails, hair, and makeup done. As we help you plan your engagement session we often suggest picking a meaningful location for both of you. While Savannah is full of Instagram-worthy locations, you aren’t relegated to having your session in the city. We often travel to Charleston or even further for destination engagement sessions that turn into a fun getaway for you and your fiance. Wherever you choose to have your engagement photos done, once your session is over go have an intimate dinner for two to simply celebrate this amazing season you are in.
