Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.

Nestled along Tybee Island’s quiet shoreline, Chapel by the Sea has long been a favorite destination for couples who love romance, simple beauty, and a touch of ocean air. Once known as the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, this beloved venue has entered a new era—refreshed, reimagined, and ready to welcome the next generation of love stories.
In mid-2025, the Chapel came under new ownership, launching a bright new vision that blends its coastal roots with modern elegance. The grand reopening on July 12, 2025, revealed an inspiring transformation—featuring updated interiors, a new logo, and thoughtful upgrades that reflect today’s refined wedding trends. It was a delight to create images for two styled editorials in this space that can be seen in the video below. Check back soon for images from the second editorial.
The new owners bring a fresh energy to this historic chapel while keeping the charm everyone has always loved. During the reopening event, guests toured the redesigned spaces and discovered new features that had Savannah’s wedding community buzzing.
Even with these exciting changes, the heart of Chapel by the Sea remains the same. The soft light, romantic architecture, and coastal serenity still create the perfect setting for unforgettable vows.
This relaunch couldn’t have come at a better time. Across the wedding world, couples are embracing a stunning new palette of black, white, and green—a combination that balances timeless style with natural beauty. For Chapel by the Sea this look perfectly complements the venue’s neutral interiors and vaulted ceilings
At Chapel by the Sea , the architecture itself is the perfect backdrop. With tall white walls, black accents, and surrounding gardens, the venue was made for this refined palette.
1. Let foliage be your floral.
Embrace nature with abundant greenery—ferns, eucalyptus, olive branches—and accent them with white blooms like orchids or ranunculus.
2. Introduce black with intention.
Incorporate it through chairs, linens, candleholders, or signage for elegant contrast. Keep the balance airy with white drapery and natural materials.
3. Use texture to create warmth.
Mix matte greens, woven placemats, and layered linens for depth. Think of coastal refinement rather than stark minimalism.
4. Blend indoor and outdoor energy.
Tie spaces together with potted plants or greenery walls from the Tidewater Garden to the Grand Ballroom, creating an immersive flow.
5. Illuminate with intention.
Warm white lighting and candlelight transform high contrast into romance as the evening unfolds.
6. Play with statement architecture.
Frame a ceremony under a black arch draped in greens or use the chapel’s arched windows as natural focal points.
Whether you’re a couple dreaming of your wedding day or a Savannah creative eager to collaborate, this moment marks an invitation: to reimagine, reconnect, and celebrate love’s next generation at Tybee’s most cherished chapel.
