It is snowing like crazy outside and all I am wanting are some warm cozy treats.  As a military bride, I learned really quickly that I needed to keep a small amount of treats and appetizer type items on hand because I never knew when crazy weather would hit or we might have people over for dinner.  I am not a big fan of constantly running to the grocery store, so I always make sure that I have a certain list of items on hand at all times.  Luckily for me my Try the World box came just in time to add to my stash before this crazy snow storm hit.

So before I give you my list of must have items in the pantry, lets talk about one that just got added to that list.  This Hazelnut cream is crazy good, like sneak into the fridge and eat it with a spoon good.  I have put it in my coffee and on fresh baked bread with a little butter.  This stuff is hoard worthy and almost to good to share.  Better get a jar for you and a jar for your spouse!

So here is the short list of items I keep on hand just in case we have guests or need a warm cozy treat in the middle of a winter snow storm:

• Coffee and Tea
• Chocolate – My current fave is Truffettes de France but really anything dark chocolate
• A sharp cheddar cheese, crackers, and jam
• Olives
• A good red wine
• Cookies – my preference is gingersnaps
• Frozen fruit to make a quick cobbler
