Savannah is filled with beautiful locations for portrait sessions but how do you choose the best photo location for you? First ask yourself what style of photos you want. Do you want urban, quintessential southern, or just simply that golden romantic light that Savannah is famous for. For the romantic at heart here are our best photo locations in Savannah GA.
We recently toured Old Fort Jackson and not only love it’s charm for the wedding day but also as a great space for the history loving couple to have their engagement photos taken. With the main entrance over a moat and heavy green doors, it provides the perfect backdrop for images. With the variety of the old brick, arched hallways, and an overlook on the river, Old Fort Jackson is one of our new favorites for photo locations in the Savannah area.
The fountain at Forsyth Park has become linked forever with a trip to Savannah. We love this location for its historic architecture just off the square. The light in this area is simply magical as it is filtered through the Spanish moss. Still, struggling to pick a portrait location? Make sure you watch our video below to give you a little help walking through the process.
I fell in LOVE with this location! If you love all things French then you will adore not only shopping here but snuggling up inside with a cup of coffee and their delicious macarons.
Now that you’ve picked a location . . . how do you go about planning your portrait session? One of our favorite parts of working with our MRP Couples is helping them decide what to wear or what to bring to make the session uniquely them. To get you started head over here.
