We are so excited to reflect on Ashley and Anwar’s wedding at Ford Field and River Club in October of last year. You might recognize this beautiful couple from their engagement session at The Perry Lane Hotel.  

Proposal

After meeting in college 17 years ago, this sweet couple reconnected in 2019 and wanted to explore being in a relationship. Their love blossomed during lockdowns in the UK and UAE due to COVID.

 In 2020 Anwar planned a secret trip to visit Ashely in London for her birthday and a perfectly planned proposal with a countryside picnic. Ashley moved to be with Anwar in the UAE, and they had a Katb Al Kitab ceremony in Al Ain in May 2021 and planned for a reception in the United States in 2022.

Finding the Perfect Venue

They selected the Ford Field and River Club to host their guests from all over the world for a four-day wedding celebration allowing everyone to experience the area and get to know each other. This stunning venue is located outside Savannah, Georgia, filled to the brim with Southern charm. The couple utilized the lovely grounds that feature live oaks, marshes, and creeks, with a ceremony in the garden and a tented reception.

Wedding Details

The couple had their dear friend Zayna officiate the wedding, which was incredibly special since she was with them when they first met in college. We just loved the clear top tent that allowed the guests still to enjoy the view and beauty of the outdoors.

Guests danced the night away with an 8-piece band and a DJ that included Arabic songs from Amr Diab as a nod to Anwar. The décor was low country romantic with greenery, moss, white florals with touches of ivory and gold, and a classic black and white dance floor.

We loved spending this memorable day with Ashley and Anwar, which excited us to kick off our wedding season soon.
