On March 15, 2021, just days after Denver received nearly fifteen inches of snow, Kayla and Logan met for cocktails at Lady Jane in downtown Denver.

Logan left convinced Kayla wasn’t interested. Throughout dinner, she seemed completely captivated by the bartenders crafting elaborate cocktails.

The truth?

Kayla was simply fascinated by the artistry behind every drink.

Fortunately, they decided on a second date.

That second date quickly turned into countless adventures across Colorado. Between evening hikes, discovering new restaurants, shopping for furniture together (including moving a new couch into Kayla’s apartment), and spending nearly every other day together, they built a relationship rooted in genuine friendship and shared experiences.

With Logan working East Coast hours and Kayla studying for her NCLEX after graduating, they found themselves with endless evenings to learn about each other—and quickly realized they had found something special.

Colorado Adventures That Built Their Story

Colorado became the backdrop for so many milestones.

Their first camping trip together in Steamboat Springs remains one of their favorite memories—and favorite campsites. It was there, beneath Colorado’s star-filled skies, that Logan told Kayla “I love you” for the first time. (Kayla still insists he definitely said it first.)

A few months later came another important relationship milestone: skiing together.

Across the venue, Logan prepared for the ceremony surrounded by his closest friends and the love and support of both of his moms, making the morning feel deeply personal and incredibly meaningful.
