Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
It was the perfect sunny day for a wedding at a lake in northern Chattanooga. Surrounded by their dearest friends and family, Kelly and Ben said their vows but not before a little fun shenanigans. Kelly and Ben met while working as camp counselors one summer and unlike some summer romances . . . it did not come to an end but instead lead to a sweet lodge wedding by a lake just north of Chattanooga where Kelly’s family lives.
Of all the weddings this year, Kelly’s took the cake at having the most heirlooms . . something we love in the MRP office. Early on in Kelly’s engagement, she made the decision to wear her mother’s wedding dress (a wedding my toddler self just happened to have been in attendance at) and it was the perfect dress for her. It fit right in to the ethereal woodland vibe she had throughout the day in Chattanooga.
Kelly’s family grew up on the water, making boats and fishing so when they started to plan the ceremony they decided to include a rather unusual maritime entrance. Her uncle rowed her down the lake to the ceremony site in a rowboat her father and uncle built together and was a darling surprise entrance for their guests. From the ceremony, the couple headed to the lodge for dancing, singing, and of course cake. Later that evening the exited through showers of dried lavender buds and cheers of joy. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Sterrett.
