Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
Jessica and Matt had the most perfect weather for a Birmingham wedding and better yet an Army wedding! We got to the Tutwiler early that morning just as Jess and her girls were finishing getting ready. The bridal suite was buzzing with anticipation as Army and College friends reminisced about stories from the past. Jess had every detail in place including her dad’s Army sword for cutting the cake later that night. I loved that she not only was honoring traditions but also bringing in a few modern touches with her camo garter to toss. What really got me though was the beautiful ivory heirloom necklace that had been handed down for generations dating back to Helen Keller.
Jess opted to do a first look with Matt as well as her dad. I loved how her sweet grandfather watched from the background as well as her daddy got teared up over seeing her. From there we headed out to the front entrance of the Tutwiler for her first look with Matt before having some sweet couples portraits before the ceremony at Dawson Baptist Church in Homewood.
I just adored Matt and Jess’s bridal party. They were the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. From making sure the bride and groom were taken care of to hamming it up in some of the photos below, it made the day incredibly stress free and enjoyable for everyone. They certainly kept the party going during the reception at the Haven and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house after Jess’s dad was done giving his toast to the bride and groom as he shared where her middle name came from.
From cake to confetti, we have been looking forward to this military wedding for awhile. We wish the best to these two amazing Army officers as they start out on their marriage adventure. To read more about how they met head here.
