Otter Creek Open House

We recently had the pleasure of being invited to tour Otter Creek for their wedding vendor open house.  Jason and I immediately fell in love with the look of the Texas Hill Country right in the heart of Alabama.  Having spent some time living in San Antonio, it felt like we were right back there again with its elegant flagstone covered porch and infinity pool.

Farm to Table

The afternoon was made even more memorable by the opportunity to enjoy a true farm-to-table experience. A conversation was shared with Chef Carl, who prepared one of the most flavorful jambalayas ever tasted. Made with locally sourced vegetables, the dish was perfectly balanced and full of authentic Southern flavor.

We also loved getting to catch up with our friends from Happy Catering as well as meeting some new wedding vendor friends like Kathy G and sampling treats from some of Birmingham’s finest vendors.  A huge thanks to Katie Calhan for putting on such a great event.

A Dream Venue

The tour of Otter Creek offered a deeper appreciation for what the venue provides — not only as a stunning wedding destination but also as a gathering place for those who appreciate the outdoors. The setting, with its natural landscapes and thoughtful design, was clearly created with both elegance and comfort in mind.
