Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
So you just got engaged. YAY!!! It’s that time when you just can’t stop giggling with joy and might just be guilty of standing by a sunlit window only so that gorgeous engagement ring can catch the suns rays and bounce rainbows everywhere. Don’t hide it girl . . . you know you do! Now its time for engagement portraits and what to wear for them. So not only are Cory and Laura just sweet people but they are the perfect example of what to wear for an engagement session. While the colors in Cory’s shirt compliment Laura’s dress, the pattern in both keeps if from being to coordinated and matchy. When in doubt ladies, wear blue. It looks fantastic on everyone.
I love it when a groom isn’t afraid to wear colored pants and step out of the usual choice of khaki pants or jeans. Here Tabby’s dress really pulls their outfits together. An additional layer of a sweater or a sports coat can add texture and pop to already great outfit as seen in our next couples portrait.
I love that Kallie’s scarf adds an extra pop to her and Ryan’s outfits. Without that small competing pattern they would have looked to coordinated and matchy. Last up is Suzy and Dave with a great example of not matching but rather coordinating in a beautiful way.
I love what Suzy and Dave wore last weekend. Both wore pattern and both wore colors in the blue family. These outfits work because the patterns in Suzy’s shirt is so tiny that and light that it doesn’t compete with the blue plaid in Dave’s shirt. Perfectly coordinated without trying to hard and wearing clothes they are truly comfortable in.
Above all else when picking what to wear, you want to be comfortable and feel good in what you have. If you aren’t it will shine through in your photos. If you aren’t comfortable in a fancy suit or dress then avoid it. Totally confused still? I am here to help. I have been photographing couples since 2007 and I know what looks great in front of the camera. Let me help you.
