Moss Rock Preserve in the Summer

The Preserve and Moss Rock are easily one of my favorite locations nearby for engagement sessions.  As a foodie who also has many sweet couples that enjoy signature cocktails as well as great food, this place is just ideal.  When Jessica and Cody told me they were bringing their darling dog, Tucker with them, Vecchia and the surrounding locations immediately came to mind.  With that food recommendation in hand, they drove up early to enjoy a cocktail before their portraits and then stayed late to enjoy dinner.

Construction and Proposals

Jessica and Cody met at work, slightly by accident.  He was being given a tour and human resources happened to stop by Jessica’s office.  They became friends and quietly dated, keeping their romance mostly quiet until Cody proposed.

Cody proposed on the plot of land that their house is being built. He completely surprised Jessica as he walked her out to the center of their lot and asked her where she thought their back porch would be. They found where they thought it would be, and were talking about all the good memories to come and sunsets they would watch together. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed.  Jessica was so surprised and as she relates it, a bit goofy in her excitement to say yes and put the ring on.  We can’t wait for your April wedding in 2018.
