Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
I am a huge history nerd so when Matt and Natalie suggested the Mary Penn House, a Gettysburg bed and breakfast, as the location for their engagement session, I was all in. The house quite literally sits on the Maryland and Pennsylvania boarder boasting one bedroom in PA and the other three in MD. Built in 1761 and refurbished by the Waybright family starting in 1979, this charming bed and breakfast was a lovely location to photograph Matt, Natalie, and their sweet dog Wallace.
Natalie met Matt in Annapolis in 2011 when she was visiting a friend. Her friend felt that their similar sense of humor might just be a perfect fit for each other, and it turns out she was right. They ended up having a lot of fun that lead to many more dates and a trip to Italy. Matt wanted to propose in Charleston over a Thanksgiving trip there, but he thought his mom had spilled the beans about that, so he proposed when Natalie got home from her parent/teacher conferences when she was in her pajamas! Her response was to ask if he was kidding a few times, and then they called Matt’s grandma and their parents to tell them the news. When they arrived in South Carolina, Matt’s parents had set up champagne and a sweet note to congratulate them. I look forward to photographing Matt and Natalie say “I do” next summer at the beautiful Magnolia Plantation in Charleston.
