Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
The Low Country’s historic architecture and romantic vibe attract many visitors every year. Savannah is not only a top location for weddings but engagements as well with some of the most instagrammable photo locations around. With beautiful squares, historic mansions, and food that will rival your mommas, what’s not to love. However, picking an engagement session location can often be difficult with so many places to choose from. Here are my current top 5 Savannah engagement locations that we love for that classic and romantic look.
If you are a foodie like Jason and I then River Street is the best place for an engagement session. We love the idea of candid photos as you sip an espresso at Cafe M, walking over the bridges by Vics on the River, or snuggling up to the bar at the Fitzroy before casually exploring the rest of what River Street has to offer including some of the top places to take photos.
One of my favorite buildings in Savannah is the Olde Pink House on Reynolds Square. The walls of this beautiful 1771 Georgian mansion are a lovely backdrop for any engagement session and truly embody that romantic vibe of the city. Once your session is complete make sure to make a reservation for dinner or head to the Arches Bar for pre-dinner drinks.
If you are dreaming of moss-draped roads and glowing golden light for your engagement session then Wormsloe Plantation is the perfect engagement session location for you. Removed from the bustle of downtown Savannah it features a beautiful avenue of trees, historic tabby ruins, and is a couples dream for the classic southern portrait. This location may be familiar with its appearances in several movies filmed in the area.
If Iconic Savannah is what you are looking for in a Savannah engagement session then Forsyth Park is exactly what you need. With it’s 150 year old fountain, fragrant garden, and historical mansions bordering it. This French inspired square is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Recently, I photographed a sweet couple on the square as they were visiting Savannah for their 5th Anniversary. I love that they were high school sweethearts who just like Jason and I, shoot weddings together. It was a joy to get to know Alyssa and her husband a little better while they were in town.
