Christ and Saint Lukes Episcopal Church in Norfolk witnessed the wedding of these two beautiful people this past weekend. With life-long friends and teaching buddies all around her, Barbara teared up in anticipation of her big day. They laughed and giggled in their beautiful dresses as Barbara’s mom accidentally spread glitter to everyone around her. With special touches provided by dear friends, it was the perfect day no matter what the forecast said. I loved that Barbara included these tiny but meaningful touches to her day. From the family heirloom handkerchief as her something blue to a borrowed and gorgeous clutch from a friends collection, even her beautiful florals were made with love from a sweet friend.
With a nod to both Brian’s Quaker background with a moment of silence and Barbara’s dear girlfriends singing and reading scripture for the Episcopal portion of the ceremony it was sweet and tender.
After the ceremony the rain cleared for a perfect evening at the Town Point Club in downtown Norfolk. These two danced the night away and their friends had just as much fun. The night was filled with joy and celebration and I loved capturing every minute of it.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Buniva.
