Bridal Portraits at Donnelly House

Earlier this year, I had the express pleasure of working with some talented artists in the Birmingham area to create a styled bridal portrait session at the Donnelly House.  It had a very Jane Austen feel to it complete with handcrafted paper and calligraphy.

The Donnelly House lends itself not only to a beautiful wedding space but also bridal portraits with its grand staircase which was draped in beautiful roses and foraged vines by Lisa of Thorne and Thistle.  These were then repurposed for additional portraits on the lovely vintage white swing outside.

Photographing details on wedding days and for styled bridal portrait sessions is one of my favorite things to do.  These details often set the tone for the day and add an additional layer to the story.  Picking a favorite detail from this shoot would almost be impossible.  From the delicate rings Kate wore to the hand painted place cards made out of pears.
