Timeless Events Wedding Planner Interview
I first met Heather from Timeless Events when I photographed a wedding in Flat Rock, North Carolina. She and I had kept in touch through the past two years and I immediately thought to interview her when we learned that we would be relocating to the south.
How Did You Get Involved in Weddings
I have always planned and helped delegate for friends and friends of friends but my company didn’t launch until wedding professionals gave me that extra push that I needed. I have been a lead designer and office manager for a local floral artist and designer,
Renee Burroughs Design, for a few years before launching
Timeless Events. I would also help guide her brides, answer tons of questions, create floor plans and so much more! It was then, I knew that I needed to launch my own company so I could help so many other brides around the area. I have always had a passion to help others and have always been drawn to events. Timeless Events was launched as a full service planning and coordinating company. What started as just being helpful has developed into a successful business.
What is Your Favorite Part of Your Job
I love being able to help!!! To take a couple under my wing, develop complete trust and a friendship is what I love. Just knowing that our guidance and being so hands on will give them a day that they can completely enjoy without a stress in the world is just so rewarding. We are more than just planners or coordinators, we are their cheerleaders, voice of reason, counselors at times, confidant and friend. What could get better than that!
What Makes a South Carolina Wedding Unique
Weddings in SC are always amazing! We have so many options! We have mountains, the ocean, historic towns, mansions with oak lined streets, and so much more. I love our location. We are located in upstate South Carolina right outside of Greenville and just a few minutes from Clemson (Go Tigers)! I love that one weekend I can be at an old carriage house, The Bleckley Inn, with a courtyard right in historic Downtown Anderson and the next weekend enjoying a view from Paris Mountain. Then heading to Wyche Pavilion to enjoy a reception on the river. It never gets boring here.
Talk Wedding Trends
Trends, oh all the trends . . . Of course, the abundance of greenery being used everywhere is hot and heavy this year. For floral design, I have always been a fan of hanging or elevated designs. I love the use of mixing metals or kind of a mid-century modern feel to weddings. I’m really loving brunch weddings we are seeing lately! We are also starting to see more food trucks and more involved and exciting food displays! We are starting to see unique sendoffs that are not waiting until the end of the night but instead doing it right after the first kiss as they walk down the ceremony aisle. Especially when the ceremony is outdoors, it makes for some awesome pictures since everyone is in the moment!
