Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
I absolutely loved photographing these studio portraits for Love Curvy Bridal. When I first met with Amanda of Love Curvy Bridal, I was thrilled that she was committed to providing size inclusivity for wedding dresses to the Low Country. The dresses that they carry span the range of classic ball gowns to boho and glam in style. It was a delight to collaborate with Amanda and several local models to create a simple editorial photo shoot to showcase the gowns that her boutique carries as well as the personalities of each of these women.
I have always loved photographing bridal portraits but I have a special place in my heart for the nostalgic studio-style portrait. The simplicity of it truly lets the viewer’s eye focus on the beauty and personality of the individual. For these studio portraits, we cranked up some music and encouraged each woman to first get a formal image in each gown but then moved on to letting them showcase how they truly felt. Some were more shy and reserved while others could not contain their energy during these studio portraits.
Whether it is a studio-style portrait in a glamourous gown, a boudoir session, or capturing each person’s beauty on the day of the wedding, I have one goal in mind. I want the people that I photograph to fall more in love with who they are as a person as well as their partner. There is nothing more powerful than being loved by another while also learning to love who you are.
