Portrait Session at NASA

I am a total closet science geek.  My husband and I love taking our kids to museums and my oldest dreams of being an astronaut ninja.  Dream big little guy!  So when I was approached about doing a session for an alumni magazine at NASA Langley Research Center, the inner geek just couldn’t turn it down when I was told I would also get a little tour.

It was a joy meeting Michael who is a lawyer there.  He gave me a tour of the area and we chatted about some of the fun and exciting projects that he gets to work on.  The foodie in me was especially interested in the program that is run in collaboration with local students to create the next astronaut meals.

I love that my job allows me to meet and work with people from all walks of life who share their stories with me.  It is humbling to know that they are entrusting me to capture them and who they are in that one moment in time.  To be able to capture the beauty of each human life and story that comes across my lens is a joy and a heartfelt passion.
