Here you will find some of the celebrations, special occasions, and projects our team has been honored to document over the past 15 years.
The best wedding styling goes far beyond finding the perfect dress. In Episode 3 of Architects of the Aisle, Dakotah of Jardinière Floral Design shares how her background in fashion inspired the launch of Dressed by Dakota, a styling service designed to help brides, grooms, and their families feel confident, comfortable, and completely themselves.
For Dakotah, great style isn’t about following trends. It’s about becoming “the most confident version of yourself.” She eFor Dakotah, personal style isn’t about blindly following trends. It’s about looking like “the most confident version of yourself.”
Comfort plays an important role, too. If you’re constantly adjusting a dress, worrying about your shoes, or feeling uncomfortable in what you’re wearing, it will affect how you experience the day and can even show in your photographs.
Thoughtful wedding styling considers how an outfit looks, feels, photographs, and works with the celebration as a whole.
Dakotah takes a holistic approach to styling. She wants to know your favorite colors, what’s already hanging in your closet, what makes you feel confident, what your home looks like, the design of your wedding, and even what your partner plans to wear.
As she explains, “I want to know way more information than you probably think that I care about.”
Those details help create a wedding look that feels connected to the person wearing it rather than simply recreating something seen online.
Great wedding styling also considers everyone surrounding the couple.
Is the mother of the bride comfortable? Are the groom’s accessories ready? Have the dresses been steamed? Does everything work together visually?
Dakotah believes these details shouldn’t become another responsibility for the bride. Having someone ensure everything is fitted, steamed, organized, and photo-ready allows the couple and their families to spend less time worrying about clothing and more time being present.
One of Dakotah’s simplest pieces of styling advice is also one of the best:
“Wear things that are meaningful to you.”
The perfect accessory doesn’t have to be expensive. For her own wedding, Dakotah wore a small veil she found on Etsy while helping with wedding setup. What began as a fun accessory became part of her wedding story.
Whether it’s heirloom jewelry, an unexpected pair of shoes, or something completely new, meaningful details can make wedding styling feel personal instead of performative.
