Retreat Center Engagement Session

I greatly enjoyed touring the Williamsburg Retreat Center for Beth and Kenny’s engagement session as they laughed, goofed off, and told me all about how they met.  Beth works every summer at the Retreat Center when it doubles as a camp and peaked my interest with something called GaGa ball that sounded to involved to play in nice clothes.

I first met Beth while visiting her sister Karen at a home they shared in Williamsburg.  We sat curled up in their living room chatting about romance, marriage, and the future.  Dating Kenny wasn’t even on the horizon at the time and I am so gleeful for being able to capture their wedding day next month in Jamestown.

Kenny proposed back in May during a trip to see some of Beth’s friends for Memorial Day Weekend.  They went on a romantic hike through Cowan Gap and then around a lake where her friends, who had been in on it, posted cute little signs leading up to him popping the question.

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in September at the Settlement at Powhatan Creek surrounded by lots of rich fall colors, sweet friends, and family.  Congrats Beth and Kenny!
