A William and Mary Alumni Engagement

Jenn and Mark drove down from DC for her birthday and while they were in town we shot their engagement session before their wedding in October at Wren Chapel.  Having both attended William and Mary and been on the rowing team there, Colonial Williamsburg and the surrounding area holds special meaning to them both.  I truly enjoyed chatting with them about their love of the outdoors and both our experiences hiking the Appalachian trail.  Mark also shared with us a little bit about his passion for hot air ballooning which will be featured on their wedding day with an awesome grooms cake in the shape of a hot air balloon.

With their intimate knowledge of the area, it was fun to pick their brains about the best places to eat and found out that Mark used to bartend around the corner from where we were shooting their engagement session.  They told me that one of their favorite college bars was Paul’s Deli, so next time you are in Williamsburg be sure to check it out.

I look forward to Jenn and Marks casual yet very thoughtfully planned wedding with longtime family friends coming from all over the world to help them celebrate their fall wedding.
