Maggie and Daniel had their engagement session over the weekend and the golden light was just perfect to bounce of her gorgeous blond curls.  A fellow Southern gal, with a love of history and a passion for teaching meant we had a lot to talk about.  Maggie and Daniel met in school and he told us a story of how in middle school he had worked tirelessly to read book after book to win a reading competition only to be beat out by Maggie.  They giggled as they talked about dates to book stores and how many times Daniel might or might not have read Harry Potter growing up . . . all I will say is that it is just slightly more than me.

Maggie also is a small business owner and asked to bring her mugs that she custom makes.  Isn’t this just the most darling mug?!  What impressed me was that the glitter doesn’t rub off.  I have to say one of my most favorite items a couple has ever brought with them to an engagement session.  You can find more of her work here.

These two are headed to Tennessee in a month to finish up plans for their October wedding and I have a feeling that since Maggie was a Majorette for the University of Tennessee that one of my favorite colors, orange, will make an appearance.

Maggie and Daniel, I wish you all the best of luck as big adventures are ahead of you this year, with Daniel graduating from AIT and Maggie landing a dream job as a Kindergarten teacher.  I know that your wedding day will reflect all the excitement and future promises the year holds for you!
