Moss Rock Fall Engagement

I loved getting to meet Jessica and Matt at Moss Rock for their fall engagement session.  We spent the time chatting about how they met through the military and the unique way that Matt proposed to Jessica using custom wine labels.  These two were game for anything despite the crisp fall air at the Preserve and Jessica scaled giant borders like a champ in her heels.

Jessica and Matt both met while training at Eglin Air Base.  With a love of road bikes, cycling, and spending time with family they were the perfect match for each other.  Matt found Jessica’s engagement ring back in January and had gone to her father for his permission.  Now all he needed to do was pop the question.  For this, he enlisted Jessica’s family to help.  They spent the day touring wineries and learning how wine is made.  With the help of Jessica’s Sister in Law, Matt had some custom wine bottles made that told the whole story of their courtship.  He even had them stamped with the approval of sweet Mattie, Jessica’s dog.

Not only did I get to photograph these two amazing military officers, but I also got to meet Maddie as she joined Jessica and Matt for their engagement session.  I loved how Matt knew exactly how to make Jessica laugh and I can’t  wait for their elegant and easy going wedding next September in Birmingham.
