Now, with years of friendship as their foundation, their relationship is filled with warmth, laughter, and deep connection.

With its historic squares, moss-draped oaks, and slow Southern magic, the Lowcountry was the perfect contrast to their fast-paced city life. When they’re not working, this couple lives for good food, good company, and exploring together. Whether it’s sampling Thai takeout on a cozy Sunday or searching for the best burger in Chicago (current front-runner: Leavitt St Tavern), they’re always chasing experiences that make them feel alive. They also love traveling with family, playing beach volleyball with friends, and going on park adventures with their one-year-old cocker spaniel, Weller — named after Chris’s favorite bourbon!

Their proposal story is the kind that belongs in a movie. During a trip to their favorite place, Palm Springs, Chris brought Alexa to a breathtaking spot with mountains in the background and asked her to marry him. The moment was intimate and unforgettable, and they ended the evening surrounded by family and celebration.
