Savannah has a way of weaving magic into every cobblestone and canopy of moss-draped oaks—and Forsyth Park is no exception. On a golden afternoon in the heart of this historic city, I had the joy of capturing Maura and Dennis as they celebrated their engagement, right where their story took a beautiful turn: the same park where Dennis proposed.

Beachside Romantic First Date

Maura and Dennis’s love story began in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where their paths crossed while living in the same city. Their first date sounded like something out of a classic romance—Dennis showed up at Maura’s apartment wearing a blazer and holding a bouquet of flowers. He whisked her away to a beautiful restaurant by the beach, setting the tone for a relationship full of intentionality, thoughtfulness, and charm.

Fast forward to now, and you’ll still find them chasing joy in the little things: trying out new restaurants (Brochu’s is a favorite!), taking slow evenings together, and adventuring side by side. Lately, their evenings include their newest family member, a four-month-old mini goldendoodle named Eve, who’s already stealing hearts with her fluffy energy.

A Forsyth Park Proposal

When Dennis proposed at Forsyth Park, Maura was completely surprised—and it made this session all the more meaningful to be back in the same park. As we wandered beneath the ancient oaks and stopped by the iconic fountain, I could feel the warmth and connection between them. Every smile, every glance, felt like a quiet echo of their journey so far and everything still to come.

Looking ahead to their wedding, Maura and Dennis are most excited about having all their closest friends and family gathered in one place for an entire weekend. It’s not just about the celebration—it’s about being surrounded by the people who have walked with them on their journey. And beyond that? They’re dreaming of traveling more and continuing to build a life filled with shared experiences and deep connection.
